Welcome to BedsForBullies Rescue, Rehoming, and Sanctuary.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and many thanks for your ongoing support for this amazing breed.

Set up by founder Liz Haslam, pictured in the reel above, BedsForBullies Rescue, Rehoming and Sanctuary has been rescuing and rehoming bull breeds for over a decade.

We specialise in the rescue and rehoming of English Bull Terriers, and we believe every dog deserves a second chance at love and life.

In addition to our rescue and rehoming facility, we also operate the UK's only specialist bull terrier sanctuary. Our sanctuary provides a loving and safe home for dogs who, through no fault of their own, are not suitable for rehoming.

We rely entirely on the kindness of donors, volunteers, and our wonderful Facebook community of bull terrier lovers to keep our doors open.

Can you help give these wonderful dogs a chance at a new, happy, and fulfilled life?

If you would like to get involved with the work we do, why not start by joining our communities on Facebook?

Our group pages are where all of the day-to-day action happens, and where you'll first hear about any Beds For Bullies news. We have the main BedsForBullies Rescue, Rehoming and Sanctuary group page for all announcements and general chit chat, the BedsForBullies New Auction Page which is our main fundraising page to help all bull breeds in their move onto their forever homes, and the BedsForBullies Transport Runs and Home Checkers page which, as the name suggests, is where we organise the transportation of dogs in need and home checks for prospective new owners.

By joining our groups you aren't committing to anything and, if you prefer, you can just hang out in the background and see what we get up to.

We are passionate about the work we do but that doesn't stop us from being a friendly bunch! So, don't be shy, come and say hi!

Taz's Success Story

We were home checked in August 2019.. In September I had a phone call saying that there was a 5 month old bullie in need of an urgent home because he was in danger. The next day we drove to pick up Barry, who is now Taz.

Initially we took him in as a foster. He is our first bullie. He was into all and everything. I can honestly say that we needed eyes in the back of our heads. Advice and training was provided by BedsForBullies on numerous occasions to continue our training and point both us and Taz in the right direction. I also messaged Liz on a few occasions via Facebook which has also been a great help.

Taz is now 22 months old and eventually starting to calm down. He is a big part of our family and much more settled, although, he can be stubborn. Typical bullie so I'm told.

Billy's Success Story

We adopted our Bull Terrier, Billy, from BedsForBullies. He was rescued from the meat market in China with two other bullies.

We applied for Billy, passed a home check and went to meet him and Liz at BedsForBullies HQ. Liz is a wonderful lady who gives her all to look after the dogs.

This rescue always goes above and beyond to help every dog, wherever they are from. We’re so very impressed with the way that the rescue is run by friendly, professional people who work very hard to ensure that the dogs in their care go to the right homes. Those dogs that cannot be rehomed, for whatever reason, are given a safe and loving home for the rest of their lives. Not many rescues can do that, but Liz and her team go that extra mile for every dog.

Billy has been with us for over a year now, he’s such a lovely boy, my husband and I feel privileged to have been chosen by such a prestigious rescue to have him in our family.

Bobby's Success Story

Bobby first came to us as a foster, aged 4. Unfortunately, he had never previously been socialised to other dogs and has quite challenging fear aggression as a result. This meant he wasn't suited to kennel life.

BedsForBullies worked fast to get Bobby somewhere he could feel safe, and the whole team at BedsForBullies has been amazing throughout the whole process, helping us and giving us advice to get Bobby on the right track.

We've since adopted Bobby and truly have gained a best friend. He is a very trusting dog and we thank our lucky stars every day that he was in the hands of BedsForBullies, where his needs were understood, and he wasn't just given up on. They truly are so caring about the dogs they rescue. Even after adoption they are always there for support. Bobby has already made some amazing progress so far and I can't thank the team enough.
